The Design Process

• The  Design Consultation: SpaceStyle will visit the property and discuss any rooms or projects the client is interested in updating or changing. The consultation  is up to 2 hours. Much of this time is spent discussing the client's needs and vision. Layout, colours, furniture to source, etc. may be discussed. Measurements and photos will be taken as well. Depending on the project, the consultation may be longer than two hours (additional fees apply).
• The Contract: After the consultation, should the client choose to move forward with SpaceStyle's Design Services, a contract will be signed outlining the scope of work and fees involved. 
• Trade Day: SpaceStyle will arrange for any tradespeople that will be quoting on various projects to visit the property to provide estimates (e.g. flooring installers, painters, contractors, etc.).  The client is welcome to use their own tradespeople, however we strongly recommend using the suppliers we recommend. Once received, all estimates will be forwarded to the client. 
• Sourcing: Once all estimates and budgets are approved, SpaceStyle will source all items required.
• Presentation: SpaceStyle will present the design and finishes to the client. In most cases, multiple options may be provided.
• Deposits: Upon approval of the design plan, finishes, and items presented, SpaceStyle will proceed with ordering and purchasing.  For most items a deposit up to the full value of the item will be required. 
• Execution and Installation: Once all materials and suppliers are available, SpaceStyle will proceed with completing the work and installing the items. This process may take several weeks or months depending on the projects (i.e. installation of floors, painting, mouldings, window treatments, etc.).  
• Final Reveal: Once all elements are in place, the final design will be revealed to the client.

We are happy to create a design style for you, or if there is a specific style you are trying to achieve, we will help bring it to life.

Either way, when you work with SpaceStyle, you know that the end result will be fantastic, and surpass your expectations.

Fees

• Design Consultation: $325 (up to 2 hours, $125/hour for each additional hour)
• New Home Design Centre Consultation: $325 (up to 2 hours, $125/hour for each additional hour) 
  ​*For clients who have purchased a home pre-construction and need to select their finishes through the builder's design/decor centre
• Design Services: $125 per hour 
  ​Includes: design/planning, layouts, clients meetings/presentations, on-site meetings/supervision of tradespeople, sourcing/purchasing, shopping with/without clients, co-ordination and management of trades, installation of design elements, etc.
• Discounts and Admin Fees: SpaceStyle has access to many wholesale and retail suppliers where we have secured excellent pricing (usually 35-60% off wholesale, or 15-25% retail). 
  
• We are happy to share our discounts with our customers.   We are very transparent with our pricing.​
